PSI Weekly Commentary

The PSI rose to 6.6 (Confident) last week from 6.3 the prior week, indicating that participation strengthened further despite geopolitical uncertainty. Higher Treasury yields and renewed Middle East tensions were largely outweighed by resilient equity markets, with the S&P 500 remaining near record highs and investor risk appetite remaining constructive. Cyclical Consumer Products, Technology Equipment and Pharmaceuticals & Medical Research contributed most to the week's increase in speculative participation.

Capital formation conditions remained supportive for US small-cap issuers. Eleven NASDAQ Capital Market companies raised approximately $309 million, exceeding the long-run weekly average of $231 million, although transaction volumes remained below average. The financing market continued to reward companies with credible growth narratives and identifiable catalysts, while execution conditions remained selective for weaker issuers. Large transactions, including Crescent Biopharma (CBIO) and Gorilla Technology Group (GRRR), demonstrated that meaningful capital remained available where investor demand was present.
